Futuristic 'Shell House' is nothing but mind-bending curves
300 years from now when your best friends are an alien and a robot, you'll all be heading out to a house that looks like this for a furlough in the forest. Seriously, this thing doesn't look like it was built using today's materials, as almost nothing in the house is a straight line.
The design comes from the mind of architect Kotaro Ide of ARTechnic Japan, and it was built in the Karuizawa in Nagano, Japan. It's pretty roomy at over 3,500 square feet, but it no doubt seems even larger thanks to the curving of the walls.
Just look down in the gallery below: even the bathtub bends around. Completely awesome.

Dang... that's really quite an aesthetic appeal with that design.
