Amazing video shows life in a screen-dominated 2014
There's no shortage of concept videos attempting to show us what technology will be like in 50 to 100 years, but it takes guts to produce a vision just 4 years down the road. Nevertheless, Swedish interface design company The Astonishing Tribe did just that.
The company's video (shown above) depicts a world in which sensor-enabled mini-tablets, and transparent capacitive multi-touch displays are common staples of media consumption and creation that can be manipulated any number of ways. The video is the result of an experiment in association with the Open Innovation initiative which has a variety of technology ideas on display here.

Very cool vision. However I dont believe we will be having interactive screen tables in the common place for awhile.

It's actually quite neat, would be quite convenient, though I doubt everyone is going to have these screens because well, a trend costs money.

Plus how are they going to sync all the software together and get all the various furniture and computer companys to work together?

I would imagine the household would have wifi or wireless, and then still have those landlines from the household to servers/etc.
