In its series of photos of subjects in silhouette, The Big Picture included this spectacular image of the Solar Impulse plane during its successful 26-hour test flight last month.













Shot by Fabrice Coffrini over a Swiss airbase on July 8, the photo
perfectly represents the promise and beauty of using solar power for
flight.
