If you're one of the skeptics who held off on picking up the controversial iPhone 4,
one company is rewarding that prudence by introducing a device called
the Apple Peel that turns any iPod Touch into a working mobile phone.

When you slide your iPod Touch into the new Apple Peel adapter the
device--complete with a SIM card slot and Infineon baseband chip--allows
you to make calls, instant message friends and also acts as a 4.5 hour
backup battery. The bad news is that the Apple Peel, which retails for
roughly $250, is currently only available here.
