Could the PSP2 be as powerful as the PS3?

Sony's said to be prepping a successor to its PSP handheld, the PSP2. And according to report, it's gonna be powerful. As powerful as the PS3, apparently.

Sony has been telling its licensees that they're looking for bigger, badder games for the PSP2, games flashy enough to differentiate themselves from the sorts of things people are downloading on their iPhones and Android phones. And in order to power such games, they're delivering some pretty serious guts.

Will they be able to create a handheld as powerful as the PS3? If so, that'd be a feat. We'll see!

I'm doubting that it will be equivalent to the PS3, which has the greatest of hardware out of all the other consoles. Otherwise, it won't be cheap.

Maybe they'll use that new Sandy Bridge processor here?
