With clever designs like this one, the personal coffee-cup insulator could be poised to become the next big gift item. Conceived by a teacher in Ottawa, Ontario, the "Caffeinating" coffee cosy is perfect for hard-core tech and coffee geeks alike.

Each hand-embroidered cosy is made of muslin and brown cotton. It's the same size as those disposable cardboard ones, so it should fit most 12-, 16- and 20-ounce cups. The price of supreme coffee geekdom: $8.50 plus shipping. Now if only we could get progress bars for those baristas at Starbucks….

Now you can be the coolest cat at starbucks with your cool hand-embroidered ironic coffee holder. Or just a geek with a spare $8.50 I guess.
