Charging your electric car will soon be as easy as operating your iPhone
Electric vehicles have finally emerged from the concept auto show
stage into the real world, but only one quick EV charger is ready for
prime time commercial use, the Blink Level 2.
Crafted by Frog Design, the only industrial designers cooler than
Apple, the black and white charger features color touch screen menus,
and will work seamlessly with smart phones
to communicate charging efficiency data. The device will be launched
with two models, a home version and a commercial vendor version.
Starting this fall 15,000 charging stations in 16 cities across six U.S.
states will be deployed. You can find out more about the Blink charging
network here.

Looks easy to break. All plastic. I can just see people plugging in and then taking off when they are done buying their cappuccinos at Starbucks without removing the plug.
