We've been waiting a long time for solid-state drives
to replace standard hard drives, what with their durability and speed
being so much better. But they're still just so expensive! The solution?
Both a platter drive and a solid-state drive crammed into the same hard
drive.

Seagate's Momentus XT does just that, giving you a 250GB, 320GB or
500GB platter drive paired with 4GB of solid-state memory. That memory
is enough to greatly boost your startup and application launch times
without jacking up the price of the hard drive as a whole all that much.
The Momentus XT is available now for $134, $125 and $100, depending on
the size.

That's still quite expensive for such a capacity... 250GB for $100. I am quite sure I can wait the loading times.
